60th birthday - Ralf + Ingmar ------------------------ Dear life form, How time flies when you're enjoying yourself ... With our, Ralf's and Ingmar's, 60 years of joined life experience we are well on our way to retirement. And what's the best thing about being retired? ++ You can wear your pyjamas all day long! ++ So, why wait any longer? Why not enjoy some of the well-earned fruits now? Kind as we are, we decided to share this joy with you and invite you to a PYJAMAS PARTY! Now, as it happens, this party is organized by two people, pyjamas is used in the plural and Noah chose two of each kind. Thus, nothing more logical than bringing another person (also in pyjamas)! In fact, not just any person, but a person, who's not invited and whose company you think you might enjoy. Where to take this person? How about: Lortzingstr. 18, 66111 Saarbrücken http://sbserver2.saarbruecken.de:4680/query?GK=2572530.0x5456064.3 4th floor, on Saturday 17th after 21:00 Looking forward to more of life in general and also to seeing many of you, Ralf + Ingmar ---------------------- The legal stuff * Reply: To boost the pleasant anticipation of your company and to make life a whole lot easier, we'd be forever indebted to you, if you could send us by email, fax, post, SMS, ICQ, telegram or message in a bottle a short note regarding your likelihood of being present at the above mentioned event. * Motto: Yes, please come in pjs or some other garment adequate for the night. And, yes, please bring another person who's not invited anyways. As there are more than 6 billion such people, this should be an easy task. Thus, no, a teddy bear is not a valid replacement! Btw, if you don't like the current theme, just remember: it could have been a whole lot worse! Some of the other party themes we considered were: bad taste party, carbonic acid free party [both of us shake coke to get rid of it ..], girls only party. * Food: We know, of course, that you only want our best: our food! Yes, we'll provide some fattening food to you under-nourished creatures. However, as feeding a crowd of young people with no perspectives is hardly easier than feeding the world, we'd appreciate any help with salads, desserts, finger food snacks or whatever you feel is appropriate. * Bridges and other cosy places: As the venue is not too far from the Saar there are plenty of comfortable bridges within walking distance, in case you suddenly find yourself stranded. If the prospect of viewing the endless, starry sky just before falling asleep isn't appealing to you, we can also offer places to rest your body and soul. Or, if you prefer, even a single place for both. * Gifts: Strange as it sounds, some people have the habit of giving gifts to others on the occassion of their ageing another year. The elder, more experience half of the hosts is very much fond of this ritual, since a little item obtained in such a manner later serves as a nice remembrance of the guests and the event, which is viewed as a pleasant experience. The younger, naive half would greatly appreciate it, if instead of promoting a further accumulation of useless items, persons who feel inclined/obliged to donate anything, reroute their money to a more needy cause of their choice. [Some suggestions are given at the end.] * Charities (suggestions only!): The easiest way to donate is via direct debit authorisation [Einzugsermächtigung] from a German bank account.
